Ian Broadfoot is the chief executive of Torbay Town Centres Company. Ian's role is to spearhead the transformation of the trading environment in the three town centres of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.
Ian is an experienced and successful BID and town centre manager. He steered the BID in central Edinburgh through the ballot process, then subsequently managed Essential Edinburgh for six years. He sees the priorities identified by traders in Torquay as very similar to those he addressed in Edinburgh.

Barry has extensive experience in sales and marketing across many business sectors. He was a Brixham hotelier for 12 years and Torquay holiday apartment operator for 3 years. He is currently Managing Director of Palm FM of which he was a founder. Barry has been actively involved with the local business community since 1985: Chair of Brixham Chamber of Commerce and Hotels Association 5 times; 5 years Chair of Torbay Town Centre Management Board until its dissolution in 2002; Executive Director of Torbay Chamber (previously South Devon Chamber) since mid 90’s; in second term as Chair of Torquay Chamber of Commerce. |

Following a successful career in the Army lasting 23 Years, Arthur is now a Partner at the family firm of St Marychurch Rent Agency, a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and Member of the Chartered Management Institute. Arthur is Chair of Babbacombe & St Marychurch Traders and Hoteliers Assn, Secretary to the Friends of Babbacombe Cliff Railway and a committee member of the Royal British Legion, Torquay. Joe fell in love with the West Country during three years at Exeter University. Formerly employed within the NHS as a medical scientific officer, Joe set up his first business over 30 years ago. For the last 20 years, in partnership with his wife Dani, he has run the Sheepskin & Suede Shop in Brixham. Joe has been Chairman of the Brixham branch of Torbay Chamber of Commerce 1995;2008;2009. He commissioned the Chamber of Commerce website in 1997 and has managed it ever since. He is a Board Member of Torbay Chamber of Commerce, Brixham 21, and Torbay Town Centres Company. |

Chris is Deputy Mayor of Torbay Council and a member of the Cabinet with responsibility for Economic Regeneration, Strategic Planning and Transport. Before moving to Torbay Chris lived in London where for over twenty years he ran his own Travel and Tourism company. The company arranged the travel for a number of large organisations and also ran international conferences. Chris was also a Director of a company focussing on Employee Cost Management for leading UK corporations and also stood for Parliament at the 1983 General Election. In 2000 Chris moved to Torbay and bought a complex of Holiday Cottages before joining the Council in 2007. |

Andy has been the Editor of the Herald Express, the daily newspaper serving Torbay and South Devon, since 2006. Andy began his career as a reporter at the Tavistock Times. He spent 9 years at the Plymouth Evening Herald firstly as a sports reporter, then sports editor followed by assistant editor and deputy editor positions. |

Annie has built a successful career in the retail sector both in outlet and head office operations. Currently General Manager of Hoopers in Torquay, Annie previously spent 18 years in London during which time she worked with Harvey Nichols, Sofa Workshop and Equator Luggage. Annie returned to Plymouth with Top Shop before moving to House of Fraser for seven years in the latter part taking up the Store Manager position. At the same time, Plymouth launched their BID project and she was instrumental in many of the projects they initiated. |

His interest in the area’s success is highlighted by a long standing involvement, and current executive position, within the Chamber of Commerce and continued commitment as emeritus President of Tormohun Rotary Club. |
